Adams Street between Spruce and Cohn

St. Mary's Cemetery, bounded by Spruce, Adams, Lowerline, and Cohn Streets, was transferred to the City from the Archdiocese of New Orleans in April, 1922. It is in bad condition, especially after Hurricane Katrina. There are uprooted trees, the graves are either sinking or starting to come up. There are many hand written headstones and it appears to look like a "potter's field" of sorts. However, there are a few beautiful tombs and a few very loved and visited graves.
