This is the newest and probably the smallest Hebrew cemetery in New Orleans. It opened in 1973 on a tiny triangular piece of land adjoining the Dispersed of Judah Cemetery. It features a gazebo type sitting area surrounded by beautiful Crepe Myrtles. The cemetery is completely below ground. All of the headstones are the same, giving uniformity to the cemetery. Upon visiting, you will see many of the headstones covered in rocks. It is a Jewish tradition that every time the grave of a loved one is visited, a rock is placed on it.
